Are you interested in launching a one-to-one iPad initiative in your school or district? Not long ago, it may have seemed impossible, but schools across the nation are now proving that providing an iPad for every student can be both transformative and cost-effective. You may be wondering:
How would a 1:1 iPad initiative work in my school or district?
What are the costs of going 1:1, and how can we make it happen?
What are the pitfalls to avoid, and how can we ensure that our iPad initiative is a success?
Join two veteran educators who have pulled off just such an initiative in their school for an online workshop to help you decide if a 1:1 iPad program is right for you. If you've already decided to purchase iPads for your students, this workshop will help you chart a course to success. Even if you don't currently have the funds to buy iPads for your students, you'll learn how to start small and build support over time.
Experienced Experts
Fred Sitkins (Principal) and Rebecca Wildman 4th Grade Teacher & Apple Distinguished Educator, of Boyne City Public Schools (MI) launched one of the first 1:1 iPad programs, and are the leading providers of professional development for schools and districts considering 1:1 iPad programs for their students. In this workshop, they'll teach you the lessons they've learned from firsthand experience leading one of the earliest and most successful iPad adoptions in the country.

In this workshop, Fred and Rebecca will help you understand what goes into a successful 1:1 initiative:
- Why it's worthwhile: The changes in teaching and learning a 1:1 program can foster
- What a curricular unit can look like when every student has an iPad - Rebecca will share real classroom examples
- Why a lab or cart of iPads isn't enough
- Why the iPad - not its competitors such as Android tablets or laptops - is the best option
- The benefits for students: How giving an iPad to every student can close the digital divide
They'll also guide you through the process of implementing a 1:1 iPad program for your students:
- The costs and challenges involved, and how to overcome them
- How to build support for the initiative over time
- How to train staff and students to use the iPads effectively
- How to protect your investment - the most cost-effective insurance options
Before you spend thousands of dollars on iPads—or before you decide not to—join Fred and Rebecca to learn what a successful 1:1 program looks like and how you can replicate their success in your school.
