Participation is opt-in. Members who choose to appear on the Scoreboard are celebrating their consistency publicly — and holding themselves accountable to the habit that matters most in this work: actually getting into classrooms.
How the Scoreboard works
Log a classroom visit in Repertoire
Every walkthrough you record — with or without a feedback note — counts toward your total. There’s no minimum length, no required form.
Your number only goes up
The Scoreboard shows cumulative visits — not weekly streaks or averages. A slow week doesn’t erase your progress. There are no “zero weeks” on the Scoreboard.
Opt in to appear publicly
Joining the Scoreboard is a choice. Members who opt in appear by name. It’s accountability that feels like community — not surveillance.
Why classroom visits matter
Research on instructional leadership is consistent: the principals who have the greatest impact on student learning spend significant time in classrooms — not just observing, but building relationships with teachers and developing a deep, firsthand understanding of instruction across their school.
The problem isn’t that principals don’t know this. It’s that the urgent always crowds out the important. Email, discipline, parent calls, and paperwork fill the day. Without a deliberate system — and some accountability — classroom visits are the first thing to go.
The Scoreboard exists to make the habit visible. When you can see your total growing alongside colleagues who are doing the same work, it changes the dynamic. You’re not grinding alone.
